AnnMarie not only shines as an actress, but has found success behind the camera as well. She has dipped her hands in many crew positions and loves taking on the role of being a casting director too. Most recently she served as the casting director for the dark drama “Mulberry Stains” starring Golden Globe nominee Joey Lauren Adams. She has also worked as a private auditioning coach for many actors in Texas and Hollywood. She ultimately prefers acting more than anything, but looks forward to directing in the future.
AnnMarie has been cast in over 30 films; where she has played a variety of characters ranging from a courtroom judge to a street hooker. She won the Best Actress award for her role as Trixie in “The Trixie Fixx” at the 48 Hour Film Project, beating out actresses from 70 other films. In addition, she was the lead actress in “Swinger” which won the Best Drama award at the Gulf Coast Film Festival in 2008. Other award winning films she has worked on include, “Chiaroscuro” which received the Silver Remi award at Worldfest 2010, “The Showdown” which won Best Action Drama at the South Slam Film Festival, and "Destitution” which took the Best Drama award at the Indie Gathering Film Festival.
AnnMarie currently resides in Los Angeles, and has lived in numerous cities throughout the U.S. before relocating from Texas. While in Texas she flourished as an actress and began landing many roles, as well as becoming very involved in the local film community. She is also a local hire in cities such as, New Orleans, Atlanta and all of Texas. She has been in the business for over twelve years. Her career began as a model, then moved into commercials and ultimately on to film. While in Los Angeles, she has studied with various top industry coaches such as; Ivana Chubbuck, Lesly Kahn, Cameron Watson, The Groundlings School and UCB Improv, she has maintained a belief in consistently studying her craft in order to be ready for the next big opportunity.
AnnMarie finds time for her other loves as well, such as traveling, cooking, gardening, exercising, going to movies, and reading. The sociable person she is makes her one who loves to entertain and attend various social events. The future shows great promise and excitement for this talented actress and soon to be filmmaker.
AnnMarie was born and raised in Connecticut, where her dream of becoming an actress and performing at the historic Shubert Theater in New Haven first began. She enjoyed doing plays and was voted “Most Dramatic” by her classmates in her senior year of highschool. She attended Endicott College, in Boston, and earned a degree in graphic arts, which is the field she worked in for several years before pursuing acting full time.
She recently shared the screen with Daniel Baldwin in the soon to be released film “Helen Alone,” and also plays the wife of veteran Hollywood actor Clifton Powell in the film called “Nikki: A Hip Hop Love Story.” As of recent, she has been cast in the highly anticipated web-series “Break-A-Hip” starring Academy award winner Octavia Spencer in Los Angeles.
